How do you guys thinkthe muscle shark chances are against today's top athletes obviously he would be in his prime in this scenario. Now I went over the UFC rankings for 155 lbs and 170 lbs and I think he does very good at 155 I have him going 12-4 losing to the champ Tony Ferguson Eddie Alvarez. But I had to give him the nod over Conor McGregor it's just a nightmare style match up with Connor I'm not saying he couldn't pull it off but I wouldn't put my money on it. Now on to 170 pounds I don't think he doesn't have you as well but he has some pretty good wins in my opinion. I have him going 9-7 at 170.

Fun fact Sean was only defeated by Champions or future champions with all them being Sure Shot Hall of Famers.

Muscle Shark would lose to USADA before he can fight any of those guys.

Meat hooks too short for the freaks of today’s LW division.

he'd be able to win decisions vs most of them. great ncaa wrestler. striking wise tho he'd get lit up. too short and a short reach for 155, even 145 at this point

Sherk was the man, but he'd be fighting @145 in today's UFC. I know he used to fight at 170lbs as well, but he's too damn short for 155 today.

i tend to agree with most of this.

I don't know why some people like Sherk.

Dude was so predictable and one dimensional. Only thing I ever appreciated was he didn't try to
Wrestlefuck BJ because of BJ's TDD.. but then he got outboxed very badly

he really wasn't that good in his heyday and you expect him to be competitive now? He had rudimentary striking even for a fighter back then and no power to make up for his shit striking. He dropped to LW because he was getting out muscled at 170 and you think he is some how going to be able to compete against the fighters there today? he was a one trick pony that needed to land takedowns and lay on his opponents to win . He had no finishes in the UFC or Pride other then a cut stoppage and injury stoppage. the skill gap between the eras he fought in and now is too big for him to be anything other a bottom tier gatekeeper.

Hypothetically, him vs Chad mendez would make for a fun watch.......I'd favor Chad.

he'd still be guaranteed top 10, maybe top 5.

sherk was an absolute beast.

sherk's boxing was actually pretty good, and he was fast, he was usually always able to get inside and box dudes up.

Agree.

I hated his style.
Decision machine and WRESTLE-boxer.

His cardio was very impressive though.

IMO, the close fight with Evan Dunham showed that his skill set was no longer adequate to be elite at 155.
Dunham was good, but if Sherk were really able to beat all the modern greats as people claim, he should have destroyed Dunham.

USADA might interfere with these plans.

pretty much spamming this thread at this point, but some of you motherfuckers need to be reminded of how good sherk was, and this vid really showcases how good his hands were.

musics gay but:
