Let homie go all out in the first and kept more defensive, then turned it up when the guy was spent.

Dude was winging huge shots in the first and missing quite a few due to Sean's defense.

Then Strickland started pot shotting him in the second and ripping combos. Never took his foot off the gas with pressure.

Folded him like a cheap tent.

I considered the first round a win for Strickland. Not on points, but the energy expenditure differential was way in his favor.
Yeah, you could actually see his opponent losing steam on those shots with each minute that went by. He was sucking wind as the bell sounded, and Sean was barely breathing heavy at all.

His defence is so funky looking but watching sombody like Abus with a clear speed advantage miss big because of unorthodox deflections is unique.
Sean doesn't get the love he deserves for his defence but I think British Strickland was commentating that Strickland has the highest striking defence and it's clearly not a fluke.

Imagine being finished by Strickland, definitely a big achievement for whoever he is facing

I’m not seeing anything Strickland is offering that makes him formidable at top 5. He got outdone in R1 and he’s lucky the other guy gassed so horribly by R2. The top dogs will land all over him or take him down, or both. He leaves many openings as well.

I don't think he looked really gassed until he was hurt.
I don't think the cardio was the problem as much as the guy was disoriented.

All the wrestlers at MW are trash. No one is holding him down if even Usman couldn't when they fought at WW.

it's unreal any professional fighter is gassed after one round lol..
Guys like Strickland can perform at MW when the competition is this ass. Adesanya and Whittaker are not losing to these guys any time soon

I am still not sure exactly what was wrong with him.

He looked like he was in pain, but also looked gassed.

I would love to know what Chris Curtis seen at the end of round 1.

He's lucky an opponent gassed eh?

Tell me you've never competed without telling me you've never competed.

You've also been posting that Abus was going to obviously beat Strickland, I'm not sure your opinion means much on the matter.
People are fickle, with no memory.
Strickland has been improving leaps and bounds, and was looking like a monster up until Poatan took his win streak away.
Now that he's shown that his chin is intact, he's live against anybody else in the division.
