lol @ 25 seconds of every single damn way that nutshot could be seen
Or with GiANT vacuum pits that, if it catches you, throw you back a hundred feet in the air.
Gave him the heart
Til someone gets koed and cracks their head on the glass
Gonzaga got a point taken against couture
This is exactly how it started tho. Until they made the rules against those things. Thats why there is fighting in hockey. To keep the game clean. Or you get smashed by an enforcer. I want more blood so change the rules
john lewis has a black belt in cage grabbing technique.
That's a really good point btw. Think about how long NFL and MLB have been around for example. They have had decades and decades to make rules and enforce them. Heck the NFL changes their stupid rules every year about what is a catch, waht isn't a catch, what's taunting, etc.
UFC is really very very new in the sense of mainstream sports. I'm sure they'll continue to work and get better, you'd hope. I know we crap on the UFC refs but even watch some of the NFL refs and they are just awful sometimes, I mean horrible! So we hope they get better at enforcing and becoming more consitent.
i agree, unironically. don’t have a cage or a physical boundary on the outside of the fighting space if you don’t want people to use it as a tool. plus, fighters are allowed to use the cage in a million different ways, just not to defend takedowns. kinda dumb. either allow it all, or don’t allow any of it.
Yes. If you wanna do a takedown, do it in the center.
Its funny how many of you have been watching since UFC 1 but don't remember UFC 11.
Pitcher nails a batter with the baseball and the ump just walks out and gives him a warning to "keep it clean" and the play keeps on going - this actually happens hahah. the guy who beans first gets a warning then if the other team retaliates (like any good teammate should) the pitcher and manager are ejected
But the batter still takes his base is what my point was. The rule in baseball is if you are hit by a pitch you take your base. So if a batter got HBP and the ump just was lke "hey...pitcher.....keep it clean!" and made the batter continue to be at bat.
I swear, i just said that.
Lol it reminds me of that old Greek pottery with a depiction of a pankration fight on it. You see one fighter attempting a nasty eye gouging, and the referee just whipping him as a punition, whithout interrupting (it seems) the fight.
You get multiple warnings so there really isn’t a reason not to. It’s a weird rule.
In all fairness thats me man. After UFC 4 or 5 I started only watching every 2 or 3 and usually guys I really wanted to see, but I usually did tune in for Tank but I vaguely remember that guy.
Yes!!! I wonder if that was actually a real thing in the past
Did you know Tong Po was also in Bloodsport as one of the fighters???
When fighting Hunt, Werdum grabbed and used the cage 7 times in the space of a minute while Herb looked on just as silent as the commentary team.
I feel like I'm the only person in the world who noticed this.
Mendes got him down about 5 seconds later, but Aldo was up again a few seconds after that.
