Nah man, go 1 step further, electrify the cage. That'll shake things up

Seriously though, I support fence grabbing. I think the worry though is injuries. There's a lot of potential of fingers getting caught in the fencing. Then again, doesn't seem to happen that much right now so maybe its a non-issue.

to be fair that rule is hardly enforced in the first place, most refs just repeat "no grabbing the fence" and then try to pull the guys hand off the fence. off the top of my head i can't think of a time someone has actually been punished for doing it

I ordered sushi to go from my hotel tonight, first time in a long time even though the stuff is great.

The Japanese lady taking the order had a thick accent, but a lot of zeal, and first asked my name.

After I told her, she pronounced it back to me, forcefully, and added an "eeyh" after the ending consonant...

It got me so damn pumped up!!

Should shift to a series of ring ropes with netting between them as high as the cage, harder to get an advantage grabbing(and more obvious when someone is grabbing) and less "solid" generally so harder to clinch people into them or wall walk, easier to defend striking up against it as well.

I think it should be legal. Rule always seemed silly to me.

Nah if anything start enforcing fouls more consistently. No more giving 3 warnings. 1 warning at best and then start taking points.

Or they could just replace the fence with plexiglass, since the fence has literally no purpose.

That would instantly solve 100% of all "fence grabbing"

If you want to see why this is a good rule hop on Fight Pass and watch Scott Ferrozo Vs Tank Abbott or I think it's the Don Frye Vs Gary Goodridge fight.

That grab was ridiculous. What did Yamasaki do to Aldo for that?

There is actually no proof that cage grabbing is illegal in the UFC.

Use of the cage should apply on all fronts. If you're going to allow sustained periods of hug and slug/wall and stall, you should be able to use the fence to prevent the takedowns.

A better solution though is doing the opposite, and allowing for much quicker breaks when fighters get held against the cage. Yes it should be the opponent's responsibility to defend against that, but if we aren't allowing some techniques due to the idea that the cage is only there to contain the action, then we should regard wall and stall the same as cage grabs.

All or nothing, pure and simple.

Randomly determined at the beginning of each round, between 20 and 200.
And of course it's a surprise, you don't get to know the actual voltage.
