Im so so fed up with modern GTA games its unbelievable.

I feel like Mafia by Rockstar with same budget as GTA 5 or RDR2 could really really make it off. And there is so so so much that can be done with prohibition era both single and multiplayer.

Gangs, turfs, upgrading own crew, upgrading equipment, cars, radio stations, roaring 20s, you name it. Something for a change. I loved Mafia series to the bits, especially the first one. I would literally stuffed my money down Rockstar throat if they did game like that.

Please no another modern GTA nonsense. How much can you beat a dead horse.

Cmon guys speak up what would you prefer. I heard rumours that GTA 6 will be in southern America and Vice City just so...they can put drugs in them to make it more reaslistic to keep people playing?

Well I pass...

A Mafia-like GTA game would be amazing.

I loved Mafia 1/2, but as anyone who has ever played them, you know the world is more of a giant set piece.

There are so many prohibition era mini games and side quests they could incorporate to make tje world feel more alive. However, without Rockstar's budget, I thought they did a tremendous job by focusing on the great narratives/characters instead.

Isn't GTA 6 supposed to be a Columbian/Miami centered narcos-like that takes place in the 70's through the 80's? I would love that too.

I heard word that GTA 6 is coming out day and date with Elder Scrolls 6 and Half Life 3

A rockstar pirate game could potentially be amazing too. Doesn't mean it'll ever happen.

Current rumor is rockstar doesn't even know what GTA 6 will be it has supposedly has changed concept multiple times, with throwing out months or years of work.

Screw mafia too, give me a Rockstar game based on PIRATES golden age, bunch of caribbean islands as the area

They would absolutely be perfect for it

Yea but do we really want another Columbian/Vice City game? I just think its too much similarities to the last GTAs released.

Imgaine how rich campaign can be with Rockstar doing Mafia style GTA. Will blow out all Mafias put together.

The Godfather game was epic back in the day, never played Mafia but I’d imagine it took that idea and ran with it. GTA vibe

With Mafia games they have to stick to a theme, though. Some missions won't work, like the drug use ones GTA has. Or just the idea of being a pedestrian mercenary, as the family would come first. If the reports about 6 are true it has some similarities with what a Mafia GTA would be, like the building a criminal empire part. But they can approach it from all angles.

I think the 2K Mafia's would be better if made like GTA, tho. Their open world is lacking with activities or just any life. If Rockstar would make them instead you know they'd be awesome.

That would be great, the overall look of the mafia games was on point but the area felt empty. Even make it like Yakuza where you manage things, old school type games and activities to play, bet on whatever, add some life which makes for more fun.

It could be done, just as long as they don't stick to the realism of how the cars drove at that time. One of Mafia's biggest issues are just how "realistic" the cars of that era handle. It's simply not fun getting around in cars that top out at 35mph.

Anyways, given the current political climate and how soft and sensitive people in general are, I doubt we see GTA6 anytime soon. Shit, I'm shocked Rockstar is putting out the older games again. You can almost set your watch to how fast the Twitter mob will be attacking GTA:SA for it's depiction of "gangsta" culture, and how racist it is. Maybe the whole "Definitive Trilogy" thing is a feeler of sorts, to see if they could even get away with whatever they may have planned for GTA6.
