Let's be honest here. Rousey was hardly with Schaub for his fighting skill, was she? He was a mid-level HW at best, even when he was winning fights.

What is beyond certain however, is if MMA had access to a similar level of talent pool as something like soccer/football, the game would be completely different, and none of these current champions in MMA, men or women, would be anywhere close to the top. Why? Because any other factors would dominated by the sheer number of talented athletes and become statistically inconsequential.

I had to Google that myself. According to her book, she couldn't speak words until she was 4 and couldn't put together full sentences until she was 6 because she was born with the cord around her neck and it caused delayed speech development. They were exaggerating with 12.
