Matt seems to be improving each time out, while Schaub seems to be stagnating or even declining. Does anyone think if they had a rematch soon the outcome would be any different than the first match?

Matt has fought far worse competition his last few fights. He'd get wrecked by Browne too.

Just because Mitrione is coming off a win and Schaub lost to a top 5 fighter, does not mean the rematch will not be different.

Even though Schaub's ground game is very average for the division, it is WAY better than Mitrione's.

We haven't seen Mitrione on the ground since that fight so I don't know why you think it would go differently. How has he improved?

Matt only seems better because he isn't fighting anyone who matters. Schaub has been fighting superior competition and finished Matt in the first round just slightly over a year ago. Schaub isn't the greatest fighter by any means but he did beat Cro Cop, was only the second man to ever take Travis Browne down and should have won the decision against Arlovski.

    Loser gets cut.

If Mitrione hasn't shown he improved his grappling, cut him. Schaub should be cut for being delusional.

Mitriones terrible grappling hasn't been exposed because his opponents have chosen to stand with him, dumb on Gonzagas part especially he would have worked Mitrione in the ground

lmao @ very average ground game.
I don't like Schaub. And let's stop there. I don't want any more dubbs. lol.
I loved how Rogan killed him on the podcast.
With that being said... his ground game is not average. At all.
Just because he is no Werdum or Mir... it doesn't mean his ground game is average.

When exactly would you say he's demonstrated this 'above-average' ground game?

Mitrione was his only career submission in 15 outings.
I saw him spend 15 minutes holding Lavar Johnson in a headlock, while absorbing punches, and mounting no offense and making no advancement or sub attempts.
Considering everyone who takes Lavar down and picks up a win does so by sub, usually within 5 minutes, I'm forced to say "average" is pretty generous, if anything.

Schaub has never done anything to justify the hype about his ground game.

Mitrione can't hang on the ground, there's not much of a chance for him.
