Just came into some unexpected money and was looking to get a Sub wrestling instructional set and have narrowed it to these two.

Which would be better for a guy who's grappling experience only includes 4-5 months of BJJ.

freestyle revolution or jj revolution?

if you are a newbie you won't be able to comprehend alot of saulo's concepts

so Sperry's stuff should be more newbie friendly?

Both are great choices, go with Sperry's though his is iin depth in every facet of the game.

your not comepletly new though. if you've rolled for a few months you should find value in saulo's sets as he goes over all kinds of things in depth.

Yeah i've had 4 or so months of "formal" training from a black belt that had a class through my college and then the past 3 or so years i've been no gi rolling with my friends in their garage every couple weekends. Just our own little grappling club...nothing formal.

well do you have any competitive goals? if you just looking to learn everything you can id go with the no gi stuff first. you can transition more of it over to gi than vice versa.

Saulo was my instructor for a while, he's a true master of the art. Heven't seen the sperry vids but Saulo's are top notch.

is sperry's nogi discs taught as a dynamic series like his master series?
