Plenty, but pple are already back tracking on this, see posts on this thread for proof

Unified is different from undisputed. Anyone saying AJ wasn't unified doesn't understand simple terminlogy
    Unified champion[edit]

The unified champion is defined as a boxer that holds at least two world championships of major sanctioning bodies (WBA, WBC, IBF or WBO) in their respective division

Be careful what you call Aries, he doesn't deserve such disrespect

    I see some backtracking

Hopefully Dazn or Ruiz can back track as rapidly, so we get the rematch.

    NOt quite

Holyfield and hasim Rahman got virtual parity or higher in their rematches when they upset the odds. They didn't have to make do with under 20%, which is less than mandatories get!!

Can you point me to one?

Hey, @aries IBO ain't a real title. Cut that shit out lmao

Anyway, the way I see it, Ruiz is the one who signed the contract, is back tracking, and holding up the rematch.

Yeah, Ruiz needs to follow thru, he signed the contract, but on the other hand, it's clear why others wouldn't sign to similiar terms in the 1st place

They got lucky! Don't act like the Champ getting the better deal isn't the norm.

Wonder how much money Hearn is getting that we don't even know about. Bet there's some money being passed around under the table to have it in the fucking desert. It takes a lot of, should I say, wheeling and dealing to get this done, imo.

I think it's pretty similar situation to Pac being made to fight Horn in Australia. Arum got paid big for that one.

That's one post from over a year ago. Fair enough though, you pointed me to one.

I still don't think it's fair to call out AJ and Hearn on this though when these guys getting paid like 15 times what they were before. It really comes down to whether you value protecting your brand or the opportunity at 3 world titles. Anyway, one of the guys you named wanted the contract and his management screwed him over and lied, (Ortiz) and Ruiz thought the contract was perfectly fine for him at the time, but is suddenly changing his mind now.

Ortiz should just knock him out again and then go and fight Wilder for pittance compared to what he is being offered...again,Hearn is not Steve Wynn

It wont matter, everyone in the west is selling out to them. Money always prevails.

If AJ is serious about being undisputed, he needs to make this rematch happen - if the belts get spread around I don’t see how he stays away from another loss (or two) long enough to win them all.

Well yes if he does it again clearing himself of any rematch clauses he signed first time around then he absolutely can.

He knows the rematch terms were already agreed, comparing it to a fresh set of negotiations is dishonest at best.

    Complete fail.

Yeah, if the belts get dropped then I'm sure Wilder or Fury will pick up at least one of them.

if you're selling you'll get one year in in prison & if they caught drinking it will be maximum one day in jail but it seems to me that they're leaning toward allowing it in the near future ..
