Saturday's Bellator 154: 709K Viewers

Card was gutted, went against UFC, and still produced higher than avg ratings compared to non tentpoles

I think it may be the lowest rated tentpole though.

That's not bad..all things considered.

It was really the worst tentpole from a quality perspective. But I think it's an okay number with the circumstances surrounding it.

Better than I was expecting. To casual fans it was a 1 fight card, and competing vs the UFC. More people get FS1 than Spike at this point too, so I think they should be pleased considering it was only a tentpole by name after the injuries gutted it.

153 had more names and a bigger media push than 154, so yeah, this was a tentpole in name only.

I agree with those who say that it's a plus all things considered. They lost like 3 main card fights. Had a bunch of up and comers. A decent main event. Also going up against the UFC. I ain't mad at these numbers.

Not true, Spike is in 9 million more homes than FS1

Neither rating is that good honestly, running at the same time hurt both cards. Both should have done better.

Bellator card lost good fights but Mo/Davis is one of best fights they could make.

UFC card was great but didnt feature the big name main event. Card still should have done better.

Legit thought that this card would make less than 590K, not joking. Pretty good considering how the card was almost completely dismantled and ran against the UFC. Hope Bellator gets ratings like this for this week's card.

Not too bad, fuck loads better than what a lot of free to air boxing events are doing.

Really? Is that STILL the case as of the past couple of months when Comcast moved Spike to a premium package? I have to pay extra to have Spike and not FS1 and Comcast is one of the largest networks out there so I just assumed.

I did the google search saying FS1 is available in more than 84 million homes and it says Spike is available in more than 91.4 million homes. When they say available i'm unclear if thats how many people actually get the channel or if thats the amount of people who have the option to pay for the channel

You guys that say the ratings were bad are not tv smart. Both UFC and Bellator was in the top 10 in cable tv saturday. SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think UFC was the most watch sports program saturday night. How is that bad? What standards are you going by?

Spike TV is available in more homes BUT they were recently move to second tier cable package on Comcast and Time Warner.

Better than expected, this one fight card did really good ratings against a very good level FS1 prelims card, probably without the the competition between cards they could made more than 1 million viewers

Yep i see that Spike is available in 7.5 million more homes than FS1. What i'm wondering those is what "available" means. With comcast (one of the biggest cable providers) requiring a special cable package, as of the past few months, i'm not sure if all Comcast subscribers are considered "available" even if they don't have the special package subscription to view Spike.

With FS1 being on the normal subscription with Comcast it makes me wonder how they could be in more homes.

What competition is bellator going to have this Friday? Are there any nhl games or nba play off games?(I don't really keep up with those sports)

If there isn't any real competition, I would let be surprised to see this bellator card get better ratings than the Davis/mo one.

Competition is The killer.

Available means available and that is it. You can get it if you want it.

According to the latest publicly availabe #'s (January 2016) Spike is in 91 million U.S. homes, while FS1 is in 84.5 -- a difference of 6.5 million

It's unclear whether the Spike number is pre- or post- Comcast's removal of Spike and some other Viacom networks from the basic tier, which happened in the middle of January. If it doesn't account for that, then Spike's # could be significantly lower, since Comcast is the largest cable company in the U.S.
