He's not going to get tied down to a slave contract. Inoki can make him more money outside of the UFC.

The only it's happening for a Ishii fight in Japan for the UFC is if its a one off.

the guy has fought an impressive list of opponents for being so young in his career and for not being a UFC fighter. However he always seems to look unimpressive in his wins, his fight against De Fries was just meh

I agree he is not the most entertaining fighter, but Japan is a good market and Ishii is a big name there. I think it would draw fans.

Santoshi Ishii was a guest on Croatian MMA podcast, in very interesting 2.5 hour interview he said:

- Now he holds Croatian passport, and as Japan doesn't allowed dual citizenship, he drops off his Japan passport and now declare himself a Croat. He also brought a grave in Zagreb he wants to be buried in Croatia. Lol

- He was abused as judo student in Japan, in one period he tried to committed suicide with pills.

- After he switched to MMA his family was receiving death threats on daily basis

- Next fight in SBC (Serbian Battle Champ.) in February and in HEAT in March. He is also in talks with KSW and he have a verbal agreement with PFL.
