I ordered a 128GB SD card from Walmart but when I put it into my computer or tablet it says it only has 24 GB. The card itself says it's 128 GB so I don't know what the problem is. There's nothing on the card taking up space either. Any suggestions?

Delete the partition and reformat the sd card.

how old is your PC? some cell phones have limits when it comes to reading higher GB SD/micro SD cards. PCs would too but they'd have to super old or some shit.

As has been said, some devices can only use a set amount of memory. You might have to check with Sandisk to see if it was mislabeled.

lol no, I'd imagine those are really expensive. I'm talking about a TB of regular/mechanical memory.

I'm not going to lie and say I'm a computer ace or anything like that, but I could swear the TB memory cards weren't super over the top expensive.

Obviously Solid State would be different tho.

But he wants a SD card. What do you mean by TB memory cards? Do you mean a hard drive?

Yeah, thought he was talking about memory sticks or something along those lines. I get the terms mixed up. Like I said, I'm not a bigtime computer/electronics guru or anything.

First, you effed up by ordering a sandisk. They're one of the least reliable MicroSD cards on the market even though it's the most popular brand, because of the price.

I have a personal story about how they're NOT reliable, but that's besides the point. Unless your card is a 'Class10' which are supposedly more protective of data stored on the card.

Exhaust all options before coming to the conclusion that you possibly have either been screwed by the manufacturer, by buying a defective product.

But don't be too pissed, look at it as a positive that you can either buy a Class10 card or a more reliable brand to store and protect your data.
