Half of Trump's votes in the last election were not pro him, they were anti Hillary. Amy Klobuchar or any other moderate Democrat will be him easily.

I think Trumpers need to really examine what actually people voted for, and what they voted against. Hillary had 30 years of hate built up against her.

I mostly agree. Though Bernie does electrify people into voting in the primaries. I think if he is the candidate, many moderate democrats and independents will stay home. His economic policies are definitely very left and are possibly damaging. I think that is why the DNC is trying to torpedo him. He may have a lessor chance than others against Trump. Outside his vocal base, I don't see many otherwise ordinary people vote jg for him imho

My point isn't anti Bernie. There are two possibilities, Russia thinks Bernie is Trump's best path to victory, which has logic behind it...or it's a conspiracy theory that CNN is in on. As long as Bernie is out against it it doesn't change my high opinion of him.

That's exactly why they are trying to torpedo his campaign. It's why they've got their super delegates in their back pocket ready to stop him. I don't think it has much to do with the establishment being afraid of his proposals(as none would pass), but a lot more to do with them being absolutely terrified of Bernie's chances in a general election. It's just not a good time to throw a hard reset candidate up there, with the country thriving. Bernie is the the type of candidate you put up there when the country is on the brink of collapse, and bagging for major reforms.

Not sure how Bernie would actually do, but the Dems fears of him getting completely decimated and humiliating the DNC are not unwarranted. He's a wildcard.
