from the Asian Games (asia's "olympic" games)
Blue is pretty good. Zabit has a background in Sanda as well.
it really shows
Takedowns with no ground work just seems so stupid.
more like the red guy has ZERO wrestling so he could take him down at will.
My thoughts exactly. It also excludes it from being mma imo..
It’s been said that Sanda is the best base for MMA
Sambo is more MMA like
Have these guys ever heard of jab and move?
In a street fight, take-down against pavement should finish most fights. Assuming the other guy hits his head against the floor.
If I have to choose one opponent in a street fight, I sure rather being knocked out by Conor than being suplexed by Khabib against the floor.
The Unified Rules, and the men’s FLW and BW classes disagree with you.
Looks like a Dom Cruz fight.
Takedowns for no reason.
It's obviously a great base from the complete lack of emphasis on at least 1/3 of the discipline of MMA.
You do it for long enough, eventually it’s bound to happen.
Since joining the WEC, he has finished 1 in 13 fights (not counting Bowles’s broken hand).
How many surprise, no-reason TD’s followed by no further activity on the ground does he have in those 13 fights?
Uh no, it isn't. No ground game. It's closer to Kickboxing.
I think Combat Sambo is closer to MMA (if you exclude the Gi). The closest i know as amateur MMA is Pankration with the "Elite" rule set. Recognised and under the UWW as far as i know.
Cung Le singlehandedly proved that shit, dammit.
Only against people who dont know BJJ.
You have a good chance to bang your head on the pavement when you get KO as well.
Separate names with a comma.
