He was on my local news the other day, I feel really bad for him, it's a nice looking restaurant inside. When he opens I'll go for a meal to show some support. That graffiti will keep people from going, all he can do is hire 24/7 security to stop them which is obviously costly.

There is an attack on small businesses and middle class people. Those places are usually independently run, government doesn't like independence.

Imagine the graffiti on a McDonald's in somewhere like Oakland? I wonder if they need to pay fines?

He has another restaurant in San Mateo so hopefully that will tide him over but the rent in SF is sky high. There's a bill hopefully being passed in autumn to help business owners with cleaning up but that's a long way off, I can only assume it's in quite a quiet area. I think the 24/7 security is the only option. I've just been Yelping his other restaurant, it looks really good so I hope he manages to open this one!
