Saku was supposed to fight him a 4th time, but got replaced by Hunt.
The press conference in which Takada announced that Sakuraba had serious problems while showing radios of his messed up back, preventing him from fighting looked like a funeral, with Saku dressed all in black and looking like he was mourning...

Takada is a scumbag, the reason Sakuraba and Matsui left Takada Dojo was (aside from being taken advantage of financially) because their "master" kept throwing them to the wolves, taking advantage of their toughness to give them unreasonable match-ups all the time, knowing they wouldn't refuse.

But Saku and Matsui have clarified that contrary to what Takada was telling everyone, they weren't asking for the toughest fights against the biggest guys all the time, and would have been fine fighting dudes their own weights.
And Takada was taking an enormous cut from their paychecks, considering they were the ones running his dojo while he was doing pro-wrestling business.
I wish they could have left him sooner.
