He had virtually nothing for Frankie, and everybody knew it immediately.

Not much different than the Nick Diaz and Rory fights....after a few minutes in, BJ, his opponent and the fans knew it was all but over, at which point BJ goes into survival mode, just trying to make it to the bell and absorbing a ton of shots in the process.

It's a shame that new fans will see his mediocre record and not understand how good he was in beating Hughes, nearly finishing GSP in a decision loss in their first fight, then dominating LW for a couple years. Not to mention losing a close decision to Machida in a fight 3 weight classes above his normal weight.

Penn isn't done! I hope he makes a run at WW!!

He's had nothing for his opponents in his last three fights. He was done a long time ago, unfortunately.

It is.sad.to see.him go....people will look at his record and.think he's a scrub when in all honesty he would.fight anyone.....Edgar is a horrible matchup for.him always was.....I honestly thought he should have finished Diaz in the first round of there fight that made me sad

He gets to walk with a few big pay checks which eases the pain

I was rooting for Edgar and boy was I upset about watching Penn get beat.

At least with Diaz and Rory, you saw flashes of Penn's brilliance in the first round before his utter lack of cardio shut him down. In this fight, he wasn't in it for a second. Very sad.
