Meh disappointing opponent for the date. Was hoping we'd see BJs guts get split open.

even us haters accept that he is a talented boxer. I’ve watched him fight in the ami’s, and ive always liked him as a boxer. cant support the fella though, he is a cunt!
The problem he’s have with canelo though is will he do enough to win a decision. Someone on here has already stated that he can go to a decision but would he have done enough? To win enough rounds he probably has to take some risks, which possibly get him knocked out

I’d really like to see the fight, but I doubt it will ever happen

You forgot some names. Like a good handful of names that Canelos fought

Murata isn't the type of opponent I expected for him for Cinco de Mayo but he is very popular in his own country of Japan. Tapping into that market over there would be lucrative so I understand that from purely a business perspective. Oscar said recently they had a few names in the hat so it would be interesting to know the other candidates they were considering.

this honestly isn't an awful fight. Murata is better than most give him credit for IMO.

I agree. I can see Murata giving Alvarez a decent fight. I think he goes the full 12 rounds as well.

Murata has never been stopped, he punches hard but he’s no slickster. He’ll take the fight to Canelo but end up in survival mode past round 6. He may hear the final bell, but in this case he’ll be a bloody mess.

Murata is the WBA "Regular" Middleweight Champ while Canelo is the actual WBA Middleweight Champ.
So they can clear that nonsense up with this fight.

Then there's Eubank Jr. Who holds the interim WBA.

I know I talked about this in the other thread, but I think this is really exciting. I’m just looking forward to hopefully seeing some cool videos of Canelo with his team walking around Japan. And I think it’ll be cool seeing Canelo fight in front of a Japanese crowd against a Japanese fighter. I like this fight because it’s in Japan. If it were anywhere else I’d be complaining like just about everyone else lol. I’m actually really excited for this though. It’s too bad DAZN sucks so effing bad at pre fight build up. I think there’s gonna be some fantastic photo / video opportunities here. I hope DAZN doesn’t miss out

It’s not about if wether Murata gives a good fight or not. But about the faith we put in Canelo, all the time we’ve waited to see BJS catch an ass beating. Canelo played with my emotions and hope and dreams as a fan :(

At this point I don’t know if it’s a decision of a good and easy payday with good revenue or Canelo has just begun to pick the easier guys.

Canelo/Charlo another fight I wanted to see just to see Charlo catch a whooping as well, not a chance anymore. This is one of the things that piss me off about todays Boxing, what seems to makes sense also seems fucking impossible to wrap up and make.

Being a no name is a figure of speech. It doesn't mean one doesn't know about them.

BJS isn't a killer. So why would they duck BJS? I don't get it. I was really looking forward to that one. I guess they saw something in BJS that scared them. Oh well.
