Supposedly Henry was talking smack about Team Lloyd Irvin, so Ryan Hall flew to Wisconsin to take care of business.

Ryan Hall is nice with it. He bitched Henry, who acted like a poor sportsman after that tap. People can hate on Ryan all day, but he's still super talented.

Sore loser! Time for a haircut buddy...that Pauly Shore look is out!

Well, let me just say that I never question Team Lloyd Irvin's success on the mat. Just their advertising gives me the heebee jeebes. Reminds me of those old Jhoon Rhee ads.

Ryan Hall's a cool guy. He's friends with my instructor and a pretty damn good competitor, although I think he needs to work his fundamentals a bit more.

I wasn't sure what you were talking about, I had to check youtube.

all you have to do for a match with ryan is give him the name of the next tournament you'll be at and send him a link to your posting history in the grappling forum :icon_chee

No offense but Ryan Hall would rape hayliks! He's awesome!

I'd love to go leg lock for leg lock with Ryan Hall one day.

Maybe i'll talk shit in three years or so.

give me another 40 added on to that I might take him on, but as long as you aren't talking about how bad you are going to kick his ass or make him look foolish I don't think ryan would mind any criticism about his game. I take flack all the time for how I play my jits game by people who have been doing it for less time then I have but its just how I roll.

I wasn't even going to open up this thread, and then all I see is me, haha.

I'll make a post and somebody better sticky it for the next tournament I'll be competing at!

I think someone with a strong wrestling base (along with 5+ years of bjj, of course) is the style match up that works best against a guy like Ryan Hall. Get a quick takedown, maintain posture, patiently work to control his hips from on top, execute that go-to heavy pass that all wrestlers develop, and rack up some points. Patience and control would seem to be the best way to approach a guy with as many funky and quick attacks as Ryan Hall. I think that's what Brian Mclaughlin has used to beat him a couple of times....

I don't like guys like Imanari and Ryan Hall, mainly because of how many knees they've blown out.
