Ryan has made public his intentions of moving to mma and has even been training bjj.
Now that he's indefinitely suspended from boxing there's no better time for him to make the jump.
Both he and el cucuy are about equal in terms of cte but Ryan still has the power to put Tony out. Ferguson has a huge size advantage and the grappling skill to tie Ryan up on the ground.

If anything, the press conference would be fun to watch.

If the fight happened tomorrow under Unified Rules I'd favor Tony. Shot and physically broken though he may be, Ferguson still has a more diverse skill set and he's had flashes of looking "serviceable" during this loss streak. His low kicks will be disproportionately effective against someone like Ryan and I don't think whatever hobbyist level of BJJ Garcia has picked up lately will keep him from being taken down and outgrappled by El Cucuy who has simply more reps on the mats -- even if you do factor in Ryan's massive advantage in athleticism and youth.

Now give Garcia 6-12 months of dedicated MMA training at a good gym and I think the dynamic shifts as his raw athleticism and combat sports experience allows him pick up on the necessary skills to close the gap while Ferguson gets older and continues to spiral physically & mentally.

I don't think it will happen because UFC has an internal policy that prohibits bookings between opponents who both have a mental illness.

Garcia is suspended by an athletic commission, not some make-believe professional boxing organization.
