whats wrong with the names ? Mairbek is a common chechen name (Mair or Meyr means brave in Nakh and bek or bey means captain in turkish). The middle name ending with vich means like "son of" for example if your name is Magomed then your sons middle name will be Magomedovich, its like that in all slavic countries
 
All of them Chechens or Dagestani. Not so complicated tbh.

Silliness?

In place of middle names, Russian's use patronymics, which is a form of their father's first name. For women it's "ovna," like daughter of, and for men it's "ovich," or "son of."

It's not silly by any means. You just lack sophistication to understand foreign cultures TS.
