Rumors about CM Punk's progress.

If true, Punk made a mistake signing to fight in teh UFC first. He should have got some experience elsewhere first. Even Brock had a fight outside of the UFC to begin with.

It was very poor judgement on both sides. Irresponsible on the UFC's part, and downright delusional on Punk's. How he thought he could even compete at the lowest level of the UFC, with no experience or credentials whatsoever, is quite something. May as well try out for the Spurs while he's at it.

In a way if Punk goes out there and gets demolished it kind of reflects back on his gym though. He has been training the guy for what a year+, if the guy is an absolutely terrible fighter that doesn't look good on Duke even if it isn't completely his fault
 
CM Spunk needs to go back to Vince on his hands and knees and beg for his job back.

What does he honestly expect to do in the UFC?

That is what Punk's plan was.
He wanted to try an indy for the experience.

The story was, Frank asked him if he thought of MMA & Punk said when he gets freed from WWE, he wanted to try it at an indy & Lorenzo & Dana told him UFC wanted his first fight & flew to Chicago to make the offer personally.
Punk said he told them a warm-up fight would be best, but he said Frank told him they wanted the first fight & made him a huge offer!
 
CM Punk is playing you all, he's setting up himself as +800 with all these rumors and he and roufussport are going to be cleaning house.
 
No shit, of course a guy can't master fighting arts in a year.
 
It seems like he is stalling. Maybe he knows he is going to get his ass handed to him more than likely. Maybe he knows after he gets annihilated he will fade into obscurity and have to crawl back to Vince. Whatever the case I'm ready for him to step in the octagon and get it the fuck over with.

I was referring to Duke Roufus being on salary, not CM Punk. He apparently got an 8-fight contract. Which was wishful thinking on the UFC's part to say the least.

The announcement was on Dec 6th 2014. He began training in Jan 2015. Still we're supposed to believe he's been training full time since then. He should be more than ready to fight by now.

I wouldn't be surprised if Phil Brooks [screw his stage name. If he wants to be taken seriously and prove he's not in it for the money he should use his real name] is under salary as well. He's supposed to training full time and getting tons of private training.That's got to cost a fortune. Especially if he has no other income coming in.
