2. He's on salary.
All reports say he is not.
Punk said he is not getting paid while training.
Maybe he received a signing bonus or get paid for the press he did (deservedly so)?
2. He's on salary.
If true, Punk made a mistake signing to fight in teh UFC first. He should have got some experience elsewhere first. Even Brock had a fight outside of the UFC to begin with.
In a way if Punk goes out there and gets demolished it kind of reflects back on his gym though. He has been training the guy for what a year+, if the guy is an absolutely terrible fighter that doesn't look good on Duke even if it isn't completely his faultDuke Roufus has been delaying his debut as much as possible. When CM Punk had an injury last Autumn that should have only delayed him for weeks, Roufus started talking about UFC 200, which was like ten months away. That tells you two things for sure:
1. He isn't confident in CM Punk's abilities.
2. He's on salary.

It's what's best for business.Oh, I know. Trips and Vince would have him jobbing to Fandango in a week if they had it their way.

was the announcement really 2 years ago, seriously.
I could have sworn it was the end of 2015..
He hasnt got it. You can tell by the way he moved in the wwe that he wouldnt transition to mma well.
I was referring to Duke Roufus being on salary, not CM Punk. He apparently got an 8-fight contract. Which was wishful thinking on the UFC's part to say the least.
