Would make sense, air his wrestling matches and start the hype train for his mma debut.

Plus with no more TNA and Bellator only doing a show a month they can probably get some cheap wrestling, boxing, bjj shows to air on other weekends that Bellator/Glory arent on.

    why is it crap?

And TNA did good ratings, over a million a week, thats better than Bellator and Glory.

Hmm, don't see this going well. Wrestling isn't a spectator sport, and I can't see this event generating a lot of views for Spike, at least compared to re-runs of Cops or the like.

2 time NCAA champ, 1 time NCAA runner. Was considered the favorite every year to go undefeated. Caldwell (Bellator fighter) beat him twice in college. Considered a bit of an Iowa legend for just being an aggressive wrestler who showed no happiness after victory.

If Pico loses, I don't think it'd be a big deal, its just wrestling and there is an age difference, plus Metcalf is a weight class bigger.

Of course it will be less but I'm sure Spike isnt paying alot to air it and its an investment getting Pico's name out there now before he does mma.

It can also take up a Sat night. Maybe with some promo during Bellator and Glory they get 500k viewers. If it doesnt work they dont do it again.

I dont think they are gonna do it for all wrestling, its just for Pico.

What a backfire it would be if Pico loses though. Is a strange idea, can't see it doing very well ratings wise. Not sure one guy like Pico is worth doing all this for but who knows may pay off.

while people are shitting on this idea, im actually very happy. I was extremely happy when I first heard that bmma signed a contract with pico. and to see that they are investing in him by doing something like this shows me that bmma are in it for the long run. they aren't just looking for the quick cashout.

Doesn't have to do TNA ratings because it won't cost spike a fraction of what TNA was costing them to run shows.

Most def, i was glad when they picked up glory, and if they could get their hands on some boxing, and other combat sports and let them all revolve around eachother then that would be something. Play boxing when glory or bmma isnt on then, glory, then bmma. That would be fantastic, spike would really be my go to.
