Rumor: Red Dead Redemption Remaster Coming to PS4/XBONE/PC

Korean outlet Gamefocus reports that Rockstar Games is on the verge of unveiling a remaster of Red Dead Redemption for release across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, possibly marking the first time that the studio’s adorned Western would trot onto the latter platform.

The report, as relayed by NeoGAF, goes on to claim that the HD re-release will be unveiled alongside a new model of PS4 — either the Slim or Neo, or both — when Sony hosts its PlayStation meeting in New York City come Wednesday, September 7. Couple this tidbit with the seemingly relentless speculation regarding a bona fide sequel and it would appear some form of Red Dead announcement, however small, is right around the corner.

I could it happening. Some of these remasters are being done by other companies and not the original developers. If that's what Rockstar did then I see no reason for both not to come out soon. Could be the reason for the remaster honestly. Give people a chance to play it (especially PC) before the sequel comes out. I started the game but never got a chance to really dive into it.

I'm the same. Played until some timed carriage mission I couldn't get past and lost interest. I might buy a remaster and give it another shot.

Got father than me. I got to the first mission location and stopped. The game is talked about so much though that there's no way I don't go back and give it another shot. I can't even remember what I never gave the game another shot after that. Something else must have come out that caught my interest.

A lot of these remasters are being handed to outside studios to do. So if they did a remaster Rockstar might have very little to do with it.

Yeh its the same for skyrim with me, I loved both of them, two of my favorite games EVER MADE but I played like 2000 hours on both of them and I just dont have it in me to go again. Give me a sequel please.
