I think Rumble's only chance to beat Jones (or maybe any fighter) is to charge at him for 5minutes and go bezerk. 5minutes. all out.. going for the finish.

Rumble needs one good shot and he knocks out bones. If the fight goes longer Bones gets a win via decision.

I won't lie... Rumble is literally a walking hurricane of fight-ending punches in the first round... If he gasses (which has happened), then who knows.

If Jones somehow finds a way to win, then no way in hell would it be in the first.

Rumble getting the 1st round is almost a given.

Rumble is quite a bit more explosive and athletic than Cormier and Jones. He might win.

Rumble's weakness throughout his career is TDD & submissions. If JBJ can take Cormier down, Rumble will be a cake walk.

This will be the easiest fight for Jones, he is far better wrestler and will just take him down and tire him by the end of the 1st rd. Hell I dont see him fighting 3 rds with jones without gassing badly nevermind 5.

Rumble is a much bigger risk to lunge forward against, that man throws nukes... And a lot of them.

He has a punchers chance, but Jones took HW punches just fine tonight.

My prediction is that Jones takes him down and chokes him out in a style resembling Rumble's WW days.

Rumble has way more power than anyone Jones has ever fought, the guy could knock an elephant out. That would be his only chance to win the fight though, and it would be a small chance. I'd say 15% or so.

''Jones is in big trouble, Cormier still has the same power in his wrestling and punches that he had at HW'' said at least 40% of Sherdog when the fight was first announced.

Jones took punches equivalent to a HW's and ate them like sandwiches. Rumble is a great fighter (and I believe he will hurt Gus bad and maybe finish him) but I don't think he will be that great a challenge to Jones. He could prove me wrong though.

Rumble has power, he's a big dude and a legit HW like Jones on any day other than weigh in day but he's slow and just plods forward. Rumble has a punchers chance I guess but he'll never get close enough to Jones to land anything big. And besides, by the time Gus pops the hype bubble surrounding Rumble nobody will care about what-ifs.

I feel like it will look like Jones/Rampage unless Rumble can effectively close the distance. This is all hypothetical because I don't know who to take in the Gus/Rumble fight

I know about Rumble at WW but I think the new camp and proper weight is helping him a lot.
