It's not a bold prediction and I think most hardcore MMA fans will agree this is the obvious outcome if they think about it. Rumble will be the new UFC 205 lbs. champion.

But if he dusent then wat will happen in the 2nd round bruh?

Rumble has the defensive wrestling to stop jones, the more effective striking, and is the physically stronger fighting. Jones only chance is to drag this into the 3,4, and 5 rounds. I don't expect him to survive the first.

And to be honest I wouldn't expect people who have only been MMA fans for a few years to understand that power usually decides fights like this and Johnson has some of the most incredible power the sport has ever seen.

Stronger? defensive wrestling? sure jen

My moms said the same thing this morning. I said moms you need to be getting a job already cause we aint making a penny from your fortunetelling and i need my goddam pancakes.

Cormier outwrestled him, but Jones won't. Jones easily has better grappling technique but Johnson has the strength to keep on the feet for one or two rounds. Johnson has honestly improved since the Cormier fight.

Nah, son!

Jones' chin is still relatively intact...he's eaten bombs from Machida, Teixera, Gustaffson, and DC...

He'll weather the storm, keep Rumble at bay with dat reach and oblique kicks, wear him out then proceed to cement his GOATness!

Just cancel the event. I hope they don't do something stupid and put Jonathan in a HW fight with somebody like Hunt.

lol of course it's mostly post 2010 users who are laughing at my predictions. I can see why you would favor Jones but Johnson is in no way an outlandish choice.

If he wants him down he will get him down. He has better wrestling and is stronger then rumble. Rumble don't have a camp and you know what he can also chose to devour his energy in the clinch. Rumble's realistic way to victory is to land something and it's a small window since Jones has solid chin

None of whom have the striking power of Johnson. The closest would be Texeira who still doesn't have nearly the ability to land punches that Johnson is developing with every fight.

Gus and Machida are both volume/precision strikers. Their power is nothing to sneer at but not the one-shot, fight-ending, threat that Johnson represents.

It could be a competitive fight.
I see Jones having a huge bjj advantage, a moderate wrestling advantage. Clearly Johnson has the power advantage but Jones has far more tools and a huge reach advantage.
I foresee a pretty lopsided decision win for Jones consisting of Jones keeping him at range with kicks to the knees ect with possibly the occasional moment where rumble almost connects.
It could be pretty boring.
Johnson could get frustrated and end up taken down and submitted.
It wouldn't shock me if rumble ko'd Jones but I just don't think it's very likely.
Jones knows how to keep things his way.

Jones has already shown he won't take a short notice fight. He has nothing to gain by this. He'll sit and wait on DC

Jones won't accept this fight, plain and simple

stronger then rumble

Really have no clue why you think that.

Rumble is a beast. Cormier beat him through sheer gameplanning and technique. He fought a great fight but I think Cormier would lose that fight more often than not. Jones might put Rumble him on his back but I think Rumble keeps it on the feet long enough to get the KO.
