Overeem's grappling is criminally underrated, imo. If that got to the floor I think Overeem would put a brutal clinic on him and get a submission pretty quick.

But man, good luck not getting your head knocked off in the attempt.

agreed... but another point beyond ground game is getting it to the ground. Reem's had his moments, but he's no DC.

Reem's the better fighter but if he gets caught once he goes down while rumble is very tough. I'd say 50/50.

It's really a toss up. Overeem may have better striking, bjj, and wrestling but I don't see 2 out of the 3 really mattering in this match up.

Agreed. Reem has been in there wither heaviest of hitters. I say his experience helps as well

If you think he likely gets KOd on the feet then you dont think he has the better striking.

Tough fight to call. If Reem can get it to the ground which he easily can do, then he dominates rumble on the mat. Rumble just has so much power and is so accurate. Can Reem get it down without getting KO'd? Maybe.

You could argue Rumbles power isn't actually as big an issue for Overeem, obviously he could be KOed but lots of guys have the power to KO him. Someone like Glover or indeed Gus who tend to take shots to land them and depend on their chin were at more of a disadvantage.
