Was looking at his record, why he got TKO loss from an eye injury in fight with Kevin Burns? was that an eyepoke or what? and when they meet again Rumble KTFO him

Rumble should be 21-4, not 21-5

Because Mazzagatti is dumb as shit

He said he thought Kevin Burns hit him with an uppercut and dropped him and called it as a TKO victory. Then he said he had to stick to his decision since there were no instant replays at the time.

They won't be meeting again

Burns was a very game and capable fighter. In retrospect, that was not one Rumble's big wins, but at the time, it was impressive.

Edit: Just checked his record. He tapped Roan Carneiro with a triangle in his first UFC fight and took on Rumble one month later.

I laughed so hard when the footer showed..steve mazzagatti..combat sports referee since 1993..
He has been doing this for more than 20 years and still does this ?

He was actually doing really well in the standup until he got annihilated

Mazzagatti hasn't been seen for a while, luckily. Unfortunately Miragliotta is back though.

That's what was so impressive about the guy. He was fearless. I remember when he attacked Rumble in the first fight; I was blown away by his guts. I think Rumbe was too. And this was just one month after he arrived in the UFC and tapped Roan (He is one of those tap-able black belts like Fabricio Camoes, but it's still impressive that Burns just caught him in a clean triangle).

Anyway, I liked the guy, but I'm glad Rumble was able to get a decisive win and move on.

Miragliotta got his shit together, can't remember the last time he made a bad call.

That's because he didn't do any UFC events for a while. Just wait. He'll be having thorough conversations with unconscious people in no time.

It's a "loss" kind of like the way Jones-Hamill was a "loss" for Jones.
We knew very quickly after the stoppage that it was an eyepoke from Burns that did the damage; should have been a no contest or maybe a technical decision, but nothing could be done after it was officially waved off.

Rumble has a very underrated left high kick. Up there with CroCop and Holm

I don't know if I'd give it quite that high of praise but it's definitely an underrated tool in his game.

He beat up Gus like he scratched his car... Or like he had an affair with his girlfriend... Nah to be mad like that, it is definitely the car

I think what is dumber is that now the whole world knows it was an eye poke and it is still marked as win for Burns in the records.

LOL @ thinking that was an uppercut.

Dude is notorious for zoning out during fights.

Look at what he was doing when Edwards kicked Thomson's head off. Just strolling around the cage casually. He didn't react to the head kick at all.

I remember when he first kicked someone's head off he said he just learned how to do it like 2 weeks before the fight.
