Sticking with the freak-show format that Bellator is cultivating. How would a Kimbo vs. Royce fight go down? They have a common opponent now in Ken Shamrock. Incidentally, Royce's and Kimbo's fights against Shamrock in Bellator both ended exactly at 2:22 in the first round.

Royce is no spring chicken anymore, but his jiu jitsu is probably better than it ever was and it looks as though he's started to include more stand up in his training.

Kimbo got a win in his last fight, it certainly wasn't pretty, but it was a win. Kimbo has much better boxing than Royce, at least for about 5 mins.

No way, easy win for Royce. Circle for a couple minutes until Kimbo gasses, clinch, takedown, mount, RNC.

It would fit Bellator's criteria for Kimbo's opponents. He seems to either fight:

1) Someone 10 years older and significantly smaller/lighter or
2) A street fighter with almost zero MMA training or experience

I think Brett Rogers would be reasonable opponent for Kimbo. They had a feud going on in EliteXC and almost fought then. He's been very inconsistent and unimpressive since Strikeforce, but he's still a step up from Shamrock and Dada. But maybe he's too dangerous.

I said it to my buddy right after that farce of a card.

We all know Kimbo is immune to the rear naked; Gracie will probably get a hair-pull triangle though.

Royce by RNC

I am not particularly interested in this fight. If Kimbo gets sub'd by little Royce, it will be a humiliation. Kimbo should only fight heavy weights. He should go out like a real man fighting Fedor.

Fedor would oblige him by letting him go out on is shield.

Brett Rogers would be a good match up. He doesn't get tired as quickly, Kimbo better put more gas in the tank for that one.

Royce can just run across the cage and wait till Kimbo ends his gas tank, chasing him. Royce by TKO (Exhaustion)

I think Royce would wear him down and then sub him in 2nd or 3rd round. I would like to see this fight and I hope it is the next fight they make for Kimbo. It is an interesting fight that would do big ratings.

I think Royce would eventually wear him down after narrowly avoiding his power for awhile, and submit him. It's a weird fight to think about.

I hate to say it, but I'd watch it, haha.

Royce will never fight Kimbo. He's too old to risk taking a shot from him. Well, unless it's another worked fight that is.

You're crazy. Kimbo's sub defense is elite level. He's never been submitted. Tank couldn't do it. Nullified James Thompson's BJJ. Heck, he let "the most dangerous man in the world" take his back and didn't even defend the RNC until after it was sunk in deep.

On the other hand Royce has obviously developed into a very dangerous striker. Those hammer fists reminded me of Randleman on Crocop. When Ken finally came to, he was protesting the stoppage of his first Tito fight.
