It's not horrible but a few here overrated the fuck out of it. People loved to mention the fact that he beat Mir in a tournament years ago (Mir beat the absolute dogshit out of Roy all over the place in their MMA fight btw) and how he's such a legit blackbelt, but it's pointless to even bring it up considering he never even remotely attempted to use it. Ever.

Mir and Roy actually rolled another time before that youtube video and Mir submitted Roy with a kimura in like 30 seconds lol

Yes WTF was that? He had multiple submission options armbar keylock... At some point it looked like he was trying to go for a arm triangle choke... but he didn't do shit.

Always wondered why Roy never seemed to want to engage in any offensive BJJ techniques in any of his fights. Could be apathy, maybe stubbornness to get a quick KO, or maybe with every big punch he gets hit with he forgets 1 BJJ technique resulting in complete ineptitude of his BJJ considering all the damage he's taken up to this point. Who knows and who cares already he's probably on his way to bellator or rizin next.

To me it just seems like it's deteriorated over the years as he hasn't been using it much in his fights. And at times it looks like he wants to do certain things (like take Lewis' back in the scramble, for example) but just either can't pull the trigger or is too tired or his body/age doesn't allow him to do it.
