Ok, was doing squats and milk and a friend of mine said he wants to start lifting with me but he doesn't want to do squats and milk and I hate to cut it short but I am dying for companionship so I said I would switch the routine so I could have a lifting partner... ANYWAYS.. heres mah routine:

Day 1:
Squat
Bench
Weighted Dips

Day 2:
Deadlift
Weighted chins
BOR
face pulls

Day 3:
Clean variation (hang clean, power clean, clean and jerk, etc)
Front squat
PP(sometimes SOHP)

will probably stick with the ole 5x5 for most of them and occasionally work up to a 2-3 rep max... whatever I feel like at that time... critique away

I would switch weighted dips and BOR's personally but otherwise it looks good

Set up looks good. Personally I'm not really a fan of 5x5 for some exercises though. I would do all exercises on day 3 with less than 5 reps. Maybe something like 5x3. I find 5x5 deadlifts to be too much. I would just work up to either a max (1-5) or something like 3x5, 3x3, etc. I would never use reps of under 8 for facepulls. 5x5 bench followed by 5x5 dips may be too much.

hope this helps.

Yeah I understand... I will have to watch that... also, I did plan on doing 8+ face pulls and I have learned that 5x5 deads kill my form by the 5th so I will keep all that in mind... thanks

How much rest are you planning between the days?

I think that squatting and deadlifting with less than 3 days rest in between is a recipe for failure. You'll stay weak. You don't want that. Give yourself time to rest and get large and sexy like the Wilhelm.

an easy way to fix that would be a setup like this:

Cleans
Back Squats
Front Squats

PP
Bench
Dips

Deadlift
Chins
BOR
facepulls

hmm now thats an idea... would all that clean/squatting be too much for that day though?

If I did it it would be weds, friday, sunday respectively.

No you can easily do cleans and back/front squats

k I think I will go with visions set-up instead... but I will reverse the deads with the squats so it will be

Wed-Deadlift
Chins
BOR
facepulls

Friday-PP
Bench
Dips

Sunday-Cleans
Back Squats
Front Squats

Ya chaseg that's a better split. For future references just try and split your 3 day movements into a Push/Pull/Squat set up

have you informed your friend of this?

That's not Chaseg's style.

Chaset got me... I am indeed a fan of the secks... the butt kind...:-)

thanks everyone for the help

Are you set on 3 days?
How many 'work' sets are you doing in the 5x5?

Yeah... unfortunately with college classes, work, MMA, and poor gym hours, I can only lift 3 days a week...

don't know much about what kind of sets I am doing really... since I haven't started it yet..
