Rothwell recovering from an injury going in to his fight and has had a bad camp.. load up on Gonzaga at -110 whilst you still can!... :icon_idea

    http://www.mmajunkie.com/news/2013/...well-im-a-gringo-but-im-trained-by-brazilians

"It's been an extremely hard road, a hard training camp for me," he told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). "There have been some obstacles to test me, to say the least. It's been a test, both mentally and physically. But here I am. I'm going to fight Saturday, and I made it through these trials. And that's it. I made it here, and I'm standing here with you."

I don't want to get into details, but it's been both (physical and personal problems)," he said. "I'm recovering from the injury, things with my body. I've had other things going on. I have some coaches here helping me, but my main two coaches weren't able to make it with me out here, so I've just had some hard things to deal with.

Rothwell could be the best Rothwell ever and he'd still lose against Gonzaga.

This means he'll be relaxed with a "nothing to lose" mind set. Don't count out Roth... Gonzaga isn't known for being consistent either.

As far as Im concerned I wont attribute too much importance to it. If the problems he mentionned could have crippled his performance significantly he would have kept them for himself prior to the fight.

But go on sherdog throw all your money on gonzaga like he was a lock now even if he could be hiding a worse injury than bob rothwell! :)

Gonzaga isn't mentally the strongest guy. Rothwell on the other hand can take a beating and keep coming. We'll see, I'd still bet on Big Ben.

That's not true. Gonzaga lost to Schaub, who Rothwell just beat. Rothwell also beat Roy Nelson, who Gonzaga would have little shot against.

Gonzaga's claim to fame is beating Cro Cop, whose best win in the states, was what, Pat Barry, when Barry was beating him up and then felt bad he was doing that to his idol?

This report is giving me pause, but I still feel like I found value in betting Rothwell.

I still believe Gonzaga will get him down and sub him.

That is really his only quality win. I never understood why Gonzaga got so much hype.

Well, he has that rolling attack where he can go all the way across the screen, and he can light up with electricity and shock people. Same guy right?

If Gonzaga does what he did in his last fight... which is remembering that his BJJ is amazing... he'll win.

Yup...why people abandon what they are good at it is beyond me...

here's what I can see happening...

Gonzaga stands with Rothwell...hurts him, stuns him and goes in for the kill and walks right into an over hand right...similar to what happened to Straub...

and similar what happened to Gonazaga against Carwin.

    No bet for me.

Gonzaga, with a questionable chin who folds when the pressure is on? Plus, ranking wise, Rothwell beat Schaub who beat Gonzo, so this fight makes no sense. I've got Rothwell by KO, personally.

I like manbearpig, but Rothwell doesn't really need to be 100% to land one of those hamhocks he calls fists on Gonzaga and put him down.

    Because mma math totally works.

Schaub had Ben ko'd on his feet, rothwell just caught him. I'd favor Schaub in a rematch.

Gonzaga ain't exactly the most consistent guy in the world and doesn't necessarily always fight smart either.
