First of all Rose deserves a ton of respect for her growth as a fighter. She has improved her overall skill exponentially from when she first fought in the octagon and she seems to be making major improvements each fight. Also Trevor Wittman deserves a ton of respect for his quality of coaching and game planning.
I was really impressed with Rose's boxing skills in her last fight. She had very fluid movement, she was attacking at angles, she feinted well. She was slipping and parrying the majority of Joanna's punches and looked really smooth doing it. As someone who watches, trains and studies boxing I found her impressive from a pure boxing perspective. This fight also demonstrated to me that many boxing techniques can in fact carryover into mma.
It will be interesting to see if more mma fighters start using pure boxing techniques and start incorporating them into their training and fighting. Also I would be interested to know some of the subtle adjustments that Trevor Wittman utilizes to help facilitate the success of boxing techniques in mma.
Overall Rose looks very skilled and it will be interesting to watch her grow as a fighter.
