First of all I'm not a fan of Rory MacDonald but I have to notice that he fucked up big time in his fight with Wonderboy.

He let Wonderboy lull him into a boring fight. That fight was so slow and just a bit more pressure/thrown punches from him would maybe get him the decision. He could've done something similar what Till did but only better. I blame TriStall for his passivity.

If Rory won that fight he would probably be a champ now since he would decision Tyron just like he did the first time. He would beat Maia because he already did it, and would probably finish Till as well.

Crazy how one fight can change your whole career.

Rory beat a totally different Woodley. This version of Woodley merks any version of Rory.

he kept going for an imanari roll without grabbing anything or something like that. giving Wonderboy too much respect and letting him tee off

Tyron didn't change much since their match up. He still has the exact same gameplan like he did in fight with Rory. Fight would be closer but I think Rory takes it again.

He lost against Wonderboy pretty decisively. I agree he'd probably still whoop Woodley's ass though.

True but maybe with a win over Wonderboy he would be WW champ. Taking PPV points, maybe selling lots of PPV in Canada. Also being a champ in the best league..

When Rory fought Wonderboy he looked like a guy ready to leave the UFC.

Looking forward to his fight against Moose.

It isn't completely wrong. Woodley does still linger against the cage. I'd assume he'd adjust if a rematch ever happened.

Champs always evolve since the fight they lost many years ago

...Unless the guy they lost to is a hyped white dude with a lot of fans

    Classic Sherdog

Rory is the most overrated fighter on sherdog. Woodley would crush him these days. He's lucky Lima has piss poor fight IQ cause he couldn't even walk out of the cage when he won his bellator title. Had to lnp

Sometimes you need a change of scenery to revitalize you. He could of stayed in the UFC and stayed tilted under their toxic management, and tarnished his legacy forever. We've seen it happen enough.

In the fight against Wonderboy, it seemed like he really had no answer for what Stephen brought. It's easy to go "oh well, he should have pressured him and thrown more volume! That would have won him the fight", the thing is, Rory didn't seem to have a clue of how to successfully do that.

In 25 minutes he wasn't able to put forth any meaningful offense, and not for a lack of trying. He was absolutely puzzled, and the issue wasn't just due to TriStar. Since you seem to be of the mindset that Rory would have no issues replicating his performance against Woodley once again, I ask you: why wouldn't Stephen be able to do the very same to Rory, again?

By this logic Condit would TKO Rory again

Rory never sold well. I would be interested to see how much Rory is making right now compared to Woodley. He could very well be making more in Bellator than he would as a UFC champion.

Rory is making more money now, has a belt around him and is about to compete in a super fight against one of the best to ever do it...
