I thought the April fools threads were done with.

Were any of the early UFC guys ever good?

WMMA is really new to North America. In WMMA, she was good. But then WMMA caught up a bit and she got phased out. Happens all the time

Cmon man. I guess a world champion with multiple title defenses isnt really good.

I like the pic though .

Not as good as her record suggested. After a while her opponents were like deer in the headlights, they panicked and got taken out in 10 seconds. Holly beat Ronda because she didn't buy into the hype.

She was good enough to beat the same "soccer moms" who beat the current champion.

Short answer: “Yes” with an “if”
Long answer: “No” with a “but”

Good grappler, there are similar examples in males MMA, the "specialist" that suck at everything else but their thing, with Ronda the gap in skill from her grappling to her striking was just too much.

Ronda was hailed as an all-time great in a too new division.

The first opponent she fought with solid striking basics and decent power hospitalized her.

Ronda Rousey is a legend. A great fighter and a pioneer of the sport. She will be missed.

Ronda had her break that she claimed she needed and had lots of time to train.

She was mentally broken at that point. I don't think a break in which you change nothing about your tactics, training, and mental preparation really counts.

Ronda giver her the win with the bullrush tactics, look at the other fight of Holm, not that brilliant.
