Back in 2013 as Ronda Rousey was just about to make her UFC debut, she put on an open workout for the first time in front of an adoring crowd in Anaheim, Calif.

She hit pads with head coach Edmond Tarverdyan and then practiced her judo throws with a 15-year-old training partner who grew up in the gym alongside her as she transitioned from judo to mixed martial arts. Rousey flipped and tossed him around as she got warmed up with the crowd cheering her on just days away from a seismic moment in combat sports history as she introduced women’s fighting to the UFC.

Seven years later, Rousey is essentially retired from competition, but that teenager who got thrown around the mats that day, ended up becoming one of the top prospects on the entire UFC roster. His name is Edmen Shahbazyan.

honda's ground game was on another level, if she had developed her stand up she could potentially be the WMMA GOAT, she should had trainned her boxing with the Diaz instead of going to Stockton to get high and drunk.

This. She didnt have any idea how to take fight to ground from distance as well

Rousey's problems were all mental. She liked beating people up but had no interest in actually being a fighter.

I’m sure that’s not all she did lol

True ... her ground game was insanely fast and powerful.

Her judo throws were great too but she should have moved to another camp and trained more striking and wrestling. That could have kept her at the top of the game but she got comfortable and started focusing on movies and didn't leave her comfort zone as the other girls around her were getting better and better and better.

Whats worse is, she put people around her that wouldn't push her (similar to Conor, but atleast conor's head trainer said so) So her "striking" coach just taught her to throw POWER POWER POWER,

WHATS WORSE IS

UFC set her up with fucking little jumping troll girl who was tailor made to be KO'd..... So she believed she could KO Anyone.

Holly and Amanda actually had crisp tight fundimental striking, and they knew tag her, make her feel pain. Millionaires hate pain. No matter who or what you are, that moment of "why am I still doing this" creeps into your mind.

Musk/Jobs/Amazon All of them said it. They wake up every morning and have to PUSH themselves to work. Imagine having to do that every day to train, or worse, inside the cage.

Rhonda has FUCK YOU money.

I doubt she tossed him, she's with Travis Browne who's the size of an average Sherdogger, so she probably thinks Edmen is a manlet.

that, and to me more importantly, she should have accepted the criticism, embarrassment, and backlash from the holly loss. if there is anything that we have learned from tiger woods and conor mcgregor, is that people love redemption stories. tiger comes back to win the masters, and now he's almost more beloved than before. and after conor's win over cerrone, he's on top of the mma world once again.

the point, is to not give up. people love comeback stories.

He's only a real prospect if he leaves Edmond HeadMovement

Meh, her frame is not designed to be a good striker....it had nothing to do with her coaching, that was just an easy path to blame as Edmond was asking for it.
