"I definitely think it’s Rose Namajunas," Rousey told MMAFighting.com during a media scrum in Rio de Janeiro.

"I called it from the very beginning. As soon as I saw her, I saw this girl is special," she continued. "I’ve been following her for two years. I only finally got to meet her. I’ve been stalking her on Instagram for year. It was so great to be able to meet her, and I wish her all the luck. I can’t wait to see how she does in the season."

"She’s got an amazing skill set, she’s an exciting fighter. She takes risks, she’s gorgeous, and she’s charismatic," Rousey said. "I really think she has all the tools that are needed in order to be the next really influential champion."


Seems like R3 has a crush on Rose

She might be, who knows. Still on that Jojo bandwagon though.
 
Pat Barry curse is real, and he always picks Rose to win.
 
These are great compliments by Ronda. She seems like a real fan of Rose.
 
I've said it before and I will say it again.

Rose Namajunas is overrated.

She's exciting, goes for the kill and has good striking and submssions.

But she lacks the wrestling, pacing and fight IQ to be a top fighter. As what we saw with Tecia, she hasn't beat anyone ranked in the Top 10. For me Rose has yet to prove herself.

I will see it after she beats Alex Chambers, and even then...

Ronda loves her more because of her charisma and her humor (thanks to Pat Barry)

Rose seems cool but I've been following JoJo for a long time now.
 
she is definately going to be a massive mma star, but i dont see her being champ anytime soon
 
Does Rose have to cut at all to get to 115er? She seems tall but naturally thin, like 115 could be her walk around weight - whereas some of the other girls will have to make a cut to get there, which will give them a noticible strength and size advantage come fight nights.
 
Well,ronda is not gorgeous so...She looks alright with makeup on. Rose is better looking without makeup. Rose is a million times more likable then ronda. Yes a million.
 
She always brings 100% but I think if she backs off and uses more timing she would be a contenda. :icon_lol:
 
Gotta love Rose.

Can't wait to see her reach her potential.

I think she's one of those that can make 105.
Both Penne and Chambers are 105ers, and imho Tecia Torres could make it dropping some muscles.
 
I'm happy about this and agree with Miss Rousey, but I wish she'd mentioned her love of Rose on social media/in the press earlier. With the amount of attention everything she says gets, it could have proved really beneficial for our favourite female thug. With that said, I hope she never becomes a Horsewoman :eek:

This is what I'm getting at. Rose can't be the next Ronda because she can't be the dominator when she's going to be outweighted by 20lbs come fight nights. She might end up looking better in the house as all the girls have to basically be waling around at 120lbs tops given the set-up of the tournament and having to make weight three times over the length of the show.
