And here is why. I don't exactly know how betting works but Vcash betting got me thinking. The odds of Ronda finishing the fight in the first round were probably high, and Miesha surviving the first round was probably low. Ronda could have intentionally let Miesha survive until round three so that her team could make more as to her finishing in the first round. That is working the system, no?
Should they be allowed to bet on her when she can control the outcome like that? I'm not trying to take anything away from either fighters performance, great fight.
Just curious.

No they should not be allowed to bet on her fights.

Of course they shouldn't be allowed to bet on her fights. I mean, I think it'd be crazy to pass up finishing someone in round one, but crazier things have happened.

I don't see a problem with a straight bet on her to win. Prop betting her to win in a certain round is obviously BS and shouldn't be allowed.

Ronda's family and friends shouldn't be able to be on her either.

I'm pretty sure they didn't do a prop bet... I have no problem with them betting on her to win. Betting on her to lose would obviously be shady, but that didn't happen.

They should be allowed to bet on result, not a loss, not method, not when, nothing exotic just simply they can bet on her winning.

I get your point, but if Ronda is seriously so good she can fuck about for two rds and then pick a 3rd rd finish to win a big prop bet, then whatever.

Its a seriously unlikely idea but if its true, her opponents shouldn't suck so bad.

I obviously don't know whether or not they bet on which round she would win in. But surely in Vegas you can make that kind of bet.

I heard Anderson's team bet on Weidman by gumbyleg in the 2nd.

Shady stuff man.

Betting on her to lose could be something shady, but betting on her to win, even in a prop bet, is fine. It's still a bet as long as the other fighter hasn't agreed to take a dive in a specific round. If Ronda is that confident she can finish a person in whatever round she wants, then that is incredible and if her opponent can't do anything about it then so be it.

BETTING should only be illegal when there is a conflict of interest

in this case there is no conflict

ronda wants to win

her team wants her to win

they share common goal

it's all good

In my experience online books offer much more in the way of MMA props than Vegas, although I'm sure you can find round props in Vegas. Either way her team isn't dumb enough to go do one of these bets to win a few grand and ruin her multi million dollar future career.
