I think UFC should consider this matchup. Rousey, the (by far) strongest female fighter at 135lbs against, Wee, the weakest male fighter in the 135lbs, and possibly the weakest in all of UFC. Ronda would be the clear favourite and it would give an enormous boost to WMMA when she wins. She would become a superhero among women and the dollars would flow into UFC like never before.

Please explain how taking this fight presents any sort of positive outcome for Wee? If he wins, he beat a woman. If he loses, he lost to a woman. Sure, it gets his name out there, but it's really a career killer either way.

Go ask the Williams sisters how challenging a complete bum male worked out for them.

    Not really.
It would make UFC look more like a freak show.

And what would Ronda winning do for the males 135 division?
Would anybody take them seriously and follow them now one of them was beaten by a female?

Considering the EXTREME skill gap between top UFC fighters and low tier UFC fighters, it's not really outrageous. It's like saying the top female powerlifter or top female olympic weightlifter couldn't go to smaller meets and outlift men in their same weightclass. That's not true at all.

Thing is, you know that it would blatantly be fixed in Rousey's favour to win. It's like with McGregor: you spend all that money and time investing on one person, you're not going to risk it all and have them potentially lose to some nobody - that'd be bad for business.

Karsten Braasch v the Williams Sisters

During the 1998 Australian Open, sisters Serena and Venus Williams boasted that they could beat any man ranked outside the world's top 200. The challenge was accepted by Karsten Braasch, a German player ranked No 203 (his highest ranking was No 38). Before the matches, Braasch played a round of golf in the morning, drank a couple of beers, smoked a few cigarettes, and then played the Williams sisters for a set each, one after the other. He defeated Serena, 6-1, and Venus, 6-2. Serena said afterwards "I didn't know it would be that hard. I hit shots that would have been winners on the women's tour and he got to them easily."

Exactly the point. That's why this matchup is feasible, because RR stands a very good chance of winning, and hence it is not a freak matchup.

    No just no.
No fighter is worth the risk of losing the promoter and fight license over.
Also the casion license would be gone and some serious damage would be paid out and management would face jail time.
    So no just no.

yes it actually is. Women are so far behind men in physical gifts that male Highschool seniors/College freshmen trash female world records on the regular...

Tennis, a sport where women are much much closer to the men in terms of technique had a match between the williams sisters and the number 203 ranked male in the world. He had a few beers and cigs before the game and played at 50%. He still wiped the court with them easily. There is no contest, at all.

And powerlifting? Are you fucking kidding me? They would get raped by 19 year old 183 lbs

Rousey would win but that said, if the UFC rang me today and said, hey man, we hear you like MMA you've won the superbowl - you, as an untrained man who weighs around 140lbs have the chance to fight in the UFC in 6 weeks. Win or lose, you got 10k.

I'd say 'feed me Royston Wee, good sir'.
