In the countdown the boxing champ that was mentioned was Lisette Medel, IFBA champ apparently, she's 9-1-1.

 

Olympics boxers are amateurs. Does Ronda look like an Olympic boxer?

 

Ron's boxing is below average

 

The sparring partner looks horribly out of shape.

 

She has a lot to improve, but seems to me like a hard hitter, since she put Bethe to sleep out cold.

Not exactly sparring so much as him being a practice dummy for her. Her boxing is still weak, but for now it's good enough and getting better. Liddell never developed a slick sub game, still a HOF fighter.

 

Ya her striking still leaves alot to be desired like 90 percent of the ufcs.

 

It's decent for how much time she's actually had to learn striking.

Snap in the punches, digs and plants when she strikes, good torque and follow through and she actually enters her combinations from usable angles. Defense is very weak, but it's to be expected as it's the last area to develop.

She's never going to be JJ or Holly Holm technically, but then they're not going to be world class Judoka either.

For what she does (grappling/submissions), the ability to hurt and knock someone out is a big tool in and of itself. Anything beyond that is a bonus.

 

Not bad, not great .. she is still improving, and is at least better than when she first started. She clearly packs power, so her striking is still effective albeit lacking in sharpness and technique.

I agree that her sparring partner looked very out of shape though. But Edmond said that she was the only one who stuck around because they lost like 8 other partners who didn't like getting dropped. When he first said this I thought he was lying, but after Ronda KO'd Bethe last week, its clear that he was most likely telling the truth.

 

Not good, and for some reason it still looks a million times better than when she fought Bethe (Just shows how Ron has no real striking skill).

 

nice body shots. we already knew her head movement was atrocious but she definitely can throw. nice fast hooks
