"Ronda Rousey is the most dominant female athlete", really ? Have a look..

The original female GOAT.

In the grand scheme of women's sports, MMA is barely a footnote.

Rousey who?

You would think fans of fighting wouldn't be such sensitive little things...

It's funny how many people write stuff like this still (yes, I believe you are really that dumb and not just a troll).

Ronda is surely one of the most recognisable sportswomen in the world, in the top 10 at the very least.

The media is obsessed with emasculating males and empowering women. Kinda flat-lining any gender roles. This is a pro with UFC though because the media use to hate this sport for the crazy amount of male aggression it contained. Now, they accept it with fighters like Rousey in the mix. She's become the top female athlete in media because of the aggression of the sport and that angle they are trying to pursue above.

Serena Williams hands down. UFC hype machine gone into overdrive and spewing out any old bollocks now.

The Williams sisters are roiders and one hid from a guy coming to test her.

Why didn't you post RRR's Judo accomplishments?
And who knows how many armbars she escaped of her moms

I'm talking the grand scheme of women's sports.

Not just the last few years.

MMA fads come and go, its the nature of the sport.

"Machida Era"

"Jon Jones is unstoppable!"

"Brock Lesnar is too big to lose"

"Anderson will never be beat in the UFC"

She's not even the best Olympic judoka.

Yea that was Serena

She locked herself in the panic room of her mansion because she thought the drug tester guy was a burgler - so she says. LOL

She wouldn't come out until he left. Which he did. Without samples.

Putting her in the same sentence as someone like Serena Williams is laughable.

Level of competition is a real thing. Rousey is beating part-time amateurs being paraded as "pro athletes".

You can a few Japanese women wrestlers who have basically decimated the competition for multiple years straight with only minimal restraint along the way.

There are 26 female fighters in the bantamweight division. That means over 50% of the fighters are automatically in the top 15. Let that one sink in...

Exactly.

"But... but.. she's popular!"

This is the biggest knock we should have for Rousey's dominance. Women's MMA is not close to maturity and there aren't even enough women in this sport to create high level fighters.

Rousey reminds me of Royce Gracie from the early UFC days.
