Ronda Rousey decides where to leave UFC belt in Brazil

Very smart pr move heh.
Like she actually cares about the Brazilians? They're just a big part of mma.

rousey has a history of supporting and helping canto's organisation in brazil. nobody should be surprised that's where the belt ended up. It's also pretty clear she really does care about this organization and the people it helps. This was more a pr move to get attention on the charity than to get attention on herself.

Brazil doesn't need her pity belt, RDA, Jose Aldo, and Werdum aren't enough???

It's not a pity belt it's a "you gave me a superstar welcome so here is a gift" belt. Ronda has some weird moments, but that was a nice gesture and she picked the right place. Instituto Rea

She's been supporting the Flavio Canto school for some time. The school provides free martial arts training to disadvantaged children.

$30K donation in march 2015
visit in September 2014 to provide judo seminars
And now she left the belt.

This is clearly more than a one off thing in terms of supporting that school.

man i wish more schools did that in low/no income area's. You never know what kind of talent can come from an area where training will be the only thing the kid can have real hope for. Not to mention the respect and discipline taught in training that will aid our future generation in every aspect.

How many judo schools have one? Fucking genius, LOL, just looking for a dumbass reason to hate. She also donated $30k. You are dim as fuck. :icon_lol:

That's awesome on her part. Where are the R3 haters?

If you actually have something bad to say about this, then you're just a miserable human being.

it was appreciated for the project to receive the belt. I was there and she signed autographs for everybody and posed for fotos. If I knew how to post fotos I would put some here but Im not expert with the internet..

I think it was given as a gift to the school. Why would they want to sell it?
Shes a judoka, its a judo school, makes sense to keep it in honor of her and the art of judo.

Brazil won't forget that. She'll get cheered against her next opponent in Brazil and they dont cheer for nobody.

Can they sell it to fund the gym? Well, if they cant it's just promo self promo bs.

It raises the prestige and visibility of the school, thus making it easier to raise money as well as attract other high profile judoka to provide seminars and make appearances.

Raising visibility and awareness for charities is as important as making direct donations.

I still think it is weird that you get a new belt for every WIN

It's not the real belt. Just the fake UFC replica that Jon Jones refuses to sign.
