What womens 145 division? Rousey has the 135lbs belt, the point is to defend your championship and people also want to see her lose that belt. Marketing wise, they can't just create another womens division that'll be even more shallow than any other for Cyborg and the for the most part, people want to see the fight with Rousey belt and reigning title defenses on the line.

C"mon- Cyborg is the only woman we can actually conceive of possibly putting Ronda in danger at this point. it's the fight to make. Dana and co. know this and will probably act accordingly. Whether Honda and Cyborg get on board is anybody's call.

Your right, if they had a 145 womens division that Cyborg was crushing in the UFC, like the idea of Anderson vs Jones talks or GSP Anderson super fight talks. That would make sense to try to have a catchweight bout, but thats not the case.

Cyborg won faster than Ronda but really who cares, Cyborg had a mediocre test put in front of her and did what she should do which is beat the shit out of her and put her away in under a minute, she had the performance Holly Holm was supposed to have.

End of the day there are 2 divisions void of challenge, Ronda was an Olympian at 154, was an MMA fighter at 145, and is now a champion at 135, I don't see why a catchweight is such an insane prospect, 140 is not unreasonable for either of them.

That's pretty disrespectful of Rhonda. She beat Charmaine Tweet in her second pro fight ever, but that was also Charmaine Tweet's very first fight. I'm not saying that Charmaine is a great fighter or anything like that, but she is a former World Kickboxing champion. Rhonda beat her by Armbar and Cyborg actually beat her striking which is far more impressive.

I agree, but she fought someone who had never been KO/TKO'd, and it was her debut. The difference from AA vs Shaub and AA vs Bigfoot can be the difference nerves make, I will give her the benefit of the doubt, i suppose her 18 time world championship boxing status allows her that courtesy at the very least.

But yea... an immediate title shot is a disservice to them both.

The fights were at 145. If her opponents could not make that weight and were lighter, that's not cyborg problem.

Just how Honda is beating up housewives , I don't blame her because her competition is weak.

The fact is she started at 145 when cyborg was smashing people. Her management moved her down a class for a good reason.
