Not a bad comparison actually. Royce had more than just an armbar, also had more fight in him and fought monsters way bigger than him and won. Kind of blasphemous to compare her to Royce. Id say yes she is more like Cody.

I am the opposite of a Ronda fan but she most certainly is closer to the female Royce than Cody McKenzie. Royce was winning titles (tournaments) with a style that none of his contemporaries could beat. Once fighters were schooled in BJJ to some levvel then their skills in other areas where Royce was deficient took over. Hughes destroyed Royce on the ground with wrestling control and vicious GnP. Cody had only one move, his guillotine but never got close to anyone elite. Ronda did beat all of the top 135ers in her division until Holly came along.

That is a good point, in achievements she'd be closer to Royce. Cody wasn't ever an elite fighter, but his skillset mirrors Rousey's, very limited striking and one signature submission
