I hate RR but you cant deny she is the greatest ever WMMArtist just like Fedor. Their career even took a somewhat identical path, both were undefeated and ran through the competition in their 'prime' , both faced the best competetion avaliable at the time and both started losing when fighters started to evolve. It is just that Ronda's 'prime' was shorter than Fedor's. Why is one considered the GOAT while the other a scrub? Double standards Sherdog?

Jones has been #1 in his weight class for 6 years.
Anderson was #1 in his weight class for 7 years.
GSP was #1 in his weight class for 7 years.
Aldo was #1 in his weight class for 6 years.
Cyborg has been #1 in her weight class for 7 years.
Ronda was #1 in her weight class for 3 years.

One of these things is not like the other.

Which means she isn't as accomplished as all the above listed fighters... Which means she isn't as great as all the above listed fighters.
Ronda is like BJ Penn. A lesser great.

When Fedor fought stylistically difficult top competitiors (of his time) he outclassed them in their game. He stood with a red hot ready Mirko and went to ground with -at the time- #1 heavyweigtht Noguiera. Which I really need to stress because not a lot of guys had the balls to do that, back in the day and in the UFC.

Now when it comes to Ronda, I will sorta agree that she worked with what she got opponent wise. But I'd chalk that to her being young, and very active. Meaning she was mowing through her opponents faster than UFC could find a more suitable challenge. Now let's eliminate the Holy fight as Holy having the best fight of her career that night and we are still stuck with Amanda fisting Ronda's face for 40 seconds. That fight wasn't a fluke nor a past her prime Ronda. She looked the same as in all of her fights, meerkat stance, hands open wide and hoping towards her opponent with her chin up in the air. She finally fought a girl who was having none of her judo trip horeshit and straight up punched her face in.

Comparing Ronda to Fedor is stupid, and since this is sherdog, you are stupid by default for claiming this.

No...Ronda's body of work, in terms of strength of schedule is garbage.

Joanna's resume is better. And she has ZERO losses.

Don't pain a pain in the ass, alright.

Fedor isn't GOAT either, btw. And it's for the same reason.
 
I would put Rousey in with Royce Gracie - she is an all time great and a pioneer for WMMA, but she doesn't hold up to today's standards. She is too limited a fighter in my opinion. That's a huge difference compared to Fedor, who was probably the most well-rounded fighter of his era. Fedor should be in the GOAT discussion, but not Rousey.
