Considering it was in her contract at the time to do media, I'm pretty sure she was being paid to promote.

Just because something is in your contract, doesnt mean youre being compensated for it. Dana bragged about not paying Barao when he got KOd by the bathtub, but he had been doing press conferences before that....but he didnt fight, so he didn't get paid.

Usually when a contract is not fulfilled entirely you're still entitled to be paid for the work you did do.

Like for example if a construction company was contracted to build a home and had to finish it by a proposed date, if that date arises and they're approximately only 70% done. They will be paid a portion of the total contracted money as compensation for the work that has been done.

The shroud of secrecy around how Ronda looks and what her mental state is presently, plus the break from routine from promoting is having a bigger effect on her haters and the UFC hopes her opponent.
