Dude it’s just sports. Pressure is waking up not knowing where your next meal is gonna come from. Pressure is having kids and not knowing how to feed them. Pressure is it’s the 30th and rent is due tmrw and you don’t have the money. Chicks making millions of dollars to play sports is not pressure. In sports you win or lose. Ppl are afraid to fail and lose because they’ve been coddled their whole life.
It’s not “just sports” in many cases it’s their livelihood.

These fat ass middle aged men wake up every day and go to a job they hate. This snowflake Biles has an opportunity handed to her on a silver platter and shes sitting out because of "mental health". Soft generation

This is something I've laughed about as well. Can the common person just sit at home from now on and still get paid because they're feeling down that day, now that society is so sympathetic to mental illness? No. On the other hand, many of these athletes (gymnasts and Biles in particular) are victims of horribly demanding training as young as 11 or so as well as sexual abuse, so there is importance to this, though all publications may not be stating those reasons outright.

You can’t win every time but the way you react when you lose is when your true character is shown.
Why not just take both seriously?

Biles suffering from mental illnesses/problems is just as sad as when the average Joe does.

In a sport like gymnastics, if your mental isn’t right there’s a high probability of injury especially when doing the very difficult things Biles does. I don’t see anything wrong with what she did. She recognized she wasn’t on and could cost her team their chance while also risking injury to herself.

Stop trying to be logical with people like him, save your energy.

We’re creating a society of weak ass victims. Before, sports were about powering past hardships to become a true champion and never giving up. Now today’s nanny culture is telling our children to be infants and quit when it gets hard because “mental health”.

Tough times create strong men. Strong men create good times, good times create weak men. It’s why the pre-boomer generation got so much shit done and worked so much harder than people of today.

Go back to bed grandpa.

Dude she gets paid millions to play a sport and blames it on “pressure” when she’s parading around with a “GOAT” jacket everywhere. Fact of the matter is she’s mentally weak and folded at the first sign of adversity. This isn’t mental health, this is a weak minded human being who can’t accept losing. Same with Rousey. No complaints when they’re winning but the moment things get tough, “mental health” is the issue.

I wasn’t aware that we had a psychologist on the forum. Stop acting like you know this person and their mindset. Do yourself a favour and stop talking.

it's mostly boomers who's hardest thing in life was getting bullied once in high school that don't understand how other people have mental health issues. Or because they grew up with so little education they unironically think you can deal with anxiety and depression by "just dealing with it"
Curious, which generations (post WW2) have it tough?

The US is just coming off of a gymnastics scandal of titanic proportions when it comes to how these girls were treated between nassar sexually abusing them and coaches like karolyi beating their bodies up so bad they were retiring at ages like 18/19 because they can no longer compete.

Ronda is right here. Give the GOAT of gymnastics a break, especially if you're not an athlete yourself.

Not only are most people on Twitter not athletes, only the top .01% are considered Olympic caliber, — and they’re talking shite about an expert.

How would you feel about this subject if your 13 year old daughter had been sexually assaulted by her trainer who was responsible for preparing her to "get shit done"?

Go watch some more John Wayne movies, moron.
