fedor ko'ing aa was legendary. that punch was so fast and accurate. hell at the time even we didn't know what hit him. wmma needs to go. the only girls that should be allowed near the octagon are ring girls.

Fedor was/is one of the best strikers at HW.

Anyone whos ays he's crude and thus a bad striker has no idea about striking simple as that.
He wasn't crude he was wild but a good striker and a smart striker.

Against Arlovski he defended about 90% of all punches Arlovski threw and knocked him out ift hat isn#t technical then wtf is.

He outstruck Crocop, knocked out arlovski and outstruck many fighters.

Ronda's striking looked better against Bethe but Fedor is a better striker she isn't yet 100% comfortable striking yet.

People act like you need to have good technical boxing to succeed in mma. You dont. And there is nothing wrong with that at all. Is fedor and ronda knockin motherfuckers out? no doubt.
 
Fedor's striking was sublime. The man spent many years training with ERnesto Hoost who had nothing but high praise for him.
 
Anyone who's seen the video showing how Fedor parried and shoulder rolled all of Arlovskis punches knows TS is a fucking idiot.

Fedor did have good technical MMA boxing its just that the smaller gloves and other factors mean that MMA boxing looks very different to that which we typically see in boxing/kickboxing. Its no accident that his style looks a lot more similar to early 20th century boxing when the gloves were smaller and much clinching was allowed.
 
Most people don't consider Fedor to be a great techincal striker either. He left plenty of openings but people weren't able to capitalize on it for a long time and his style used the physical advantages he held.

His striking certainly wasn't crude, it was just a bit on the wild side and not terribly varied, but it was effective for him. Of course there's the other side of the spectrum from the TS where they want you to think that Fedor only stood with Cro Cop etc to hype his striking, despite that the majority of Ferdor's successful offense took place on the ground in that fight.

Fedor was certainly better at striking than Ronda and while the HW division isn't the deepest or most technical in MMA he had far better opponents than Ronda has had.
 
Fedor did pretty well on the feet against Crocop, even tried to high kick him. Wouldn't mind seeing Ronda strike for 5 minutes with someone like that girl that beat up Cyborg in kickboxing/muay thai.
Ronda's opponents can't knock out her with 1 punch or even rock her, that's a huge difference, she can brawl with them all day.
Also Fedor has underrated low kicks, watch his fight with Crocop or Monson.

In terms of striking I would say the HW division in Fedor's era is arguably the most technically advanced we've yet seen in MMA. Fedor, Crocop, Sergei, Semmy, Hunt, Sergei, Arlovski, heck even Nog was an excellent boxer by MMA standards at the point.
 
Fedor's striking was wild and aggressive, but very effective. TS isn't so far off track. Ronda even tries to pattern her fighting style after Fedor's. The comparison was bound to rustle some feathers.

This. Even washed up and scared Mirko didn't do that bad against prime JDS. And Mirko couldn't even lift his leg up to go for his most lethal strike.
As far as striking goes this might be the most skilled striking division of all time actually.
 
And Fedor critics call the multiple Olympic medalists he destroyed (Ishii, Ogawa, Lindland) cans, while we get to hear about the medals that Rousey's terrible competition has.
 
Comparing Fedor to Ronda, Ronda to Tyson . WTF Sherdog ?

When will you understand that Ronda is a big fish in a small pond?
