Ronda Critics Ignore Fedor's Wild & Crude Striking. LOL.

This just in: The guy who outstruck a prime Mirko CroCop was a terrible striker.

Seriously, dude.....grab the reins.....

TS does not understand striking. He is vaguely aware of blanket terms that he often hears used when he hears others discussing striking.

The ts doesn't get that Fedor's striking is not based on being technical like they would teach in a boxing gym, I have read Fedor's technique manual and in the striking section he describes how he did'nt want have traditional striking, so he invented his own style that involved corkscrewing the end of the fist to create a whip like effect, this would also point his elbow to the sky causing the shoulder of his striking arm to cover his chin, so everyone critiqing his striking and thinking that he's just swinging wildly doesn't know what their talking about and also take Arlovski for example, this is someone who has supposedly perfect but got viciously koed.
Those punches also set up his clinch well which is partly why he was so successful. So yes, Fedor wasn't a textbook striker but he adapted his striking to serve his other skills well. To a certain extent so has Ronda but there's no question that Fedor has better striking.
Bad example. Arlovski was winning that fight until he threw caution to the wind and abandoned his technical approach.
He was but I remember Fedor deflecting a lot of his strikes so they weren't as effective as they first seemed.

Fedor had 2 important aspects of striking Ronda would die to attain:

1. Accuracy

2. Timing

---

Also, as previously mentioned, balance and head movement.

1-Hit KO power is another.

Positioning is yet another.

this could go on for a while so I'll just stop now

Fedor had incredible accuracy and was always in control of his movements. Honda was herky jerky and flailing around like a noob. She's lucky Bethe is slow with pillowfists or she would have gotten worked.

Pretty much this.

Not taking anything from her win. But Beth connected a few times when Ronda was swinging wild. Any of those punches land fractionally cleaner, Ronda would've at least wobbled, if not, had to take a knee. She was fortunate that Correia was a rabbit in the headlights. She could have easily been caught.

If the Meisha Tate that fought Jesssica Eye last week were facing her, she would've been hurt in those exchanges.

I'm not hating on her. She's a beast and deserves all of her accolades. But that her taking MASSIVE risks when she really didn't need to.

Fedor has some of the most accurate punches in MMA history, he has his moments where he gets carried away with his aggression and can get wild, but when calculated he is not match by many and still accurate when aggressive, he had moments of getting lazy with some strikes though. He had a amazing ability to thrown knock out punches without winding up and right on the button, ending a fight at the blink of an eye and right out of the blue.

By the way there is nothing wild about the flurry against Silvia, all shot land on target with power and look at the set up to land the left hook.

Here he is using that set up again.

Fedor was a good striker with his own style, stop trying to belittle him to pump your girl Ronda who still strikes with her eyes closed.

The Ronda haters have come out in droves today after being butthurt last night.

Their constant theme seems to be that Ronda's striking isn't on par with Mayweather therefore she's not an elite fighter. LOL.

They have set the bar much much lower than that my friend.

Not to mention that Fedor would often throw a massive overhand right and use his forward momentum to shoulder bump his opponent regardless of whether he hit or missed, and then use that as an entry to a takedown. It was a deliberate MMA tactic, not just sloppy boxing.

That was one of his major strengths in MMA and sambo, and made his transition from striking to grappling so smooth and natural. Fedor is the description of fighting, he seems just as comfortable on the feet or the ground and hurts in all positions. Also his ground and pound is light years ahead of Rousey's

Fedor fought and won against people much bigger than him (via outstriking them, no less).

Ronda refuses to even try anything like that

Stopped reading at "Mayweather would get owned by Ronda".

Rousey wouldn't get within arm's reach before being KO'd. TS lacks common sense.

Mayweather would get owned by Ronda for the simple fact that his technical striking only works when opponents are not allowed to kick, knee, clinch, hip toss or mount you on the ground.

Talking about Fedor and Ronda like they're comparable, not to mention the Mayweather part...

Fedor's striking was far from sloppy and all the gifs before my post show you just that. Also, all this girls vs Mayweather bs has to stop. Neither MMA or Boxing is anything like a streetfight and you're crazy to think a boxer would streetfight and limit himself to boxing, just like an MMA guy would certainly break every rule in MMA to achieve a victory.

And since were on Fedor lets talk about his opponents and how they were considered cans but Rhonda is beating girls who don't even move like humans, and she's the greatest thing?

Fedors striking is influenced by combat Sambo. It might look sloppy, but it's effective and he doesn't what's throw crazy punches. It's in specific situations. You see the same striking from other Sambo guys.

Maybe Rousey just didn't care about "technique" in this fight because she knew Bethe had nothing for her, so she focused on power instead of technique. Fuck, it's almost like fighters can fight in more than one way...

Also, who cares if they are technically sound as long as it's effective. And so far Rousey have about as effective as they come.
