Should rich and wealthy fighters be allowed to use their diva influence to skimp out on media obligations so they don't have to answer to the press for their words after they get destroyed?

It seems like they just want to avoid becoming walking memes because they are not confident in victory and they are using their influence to escape media obligations, so they could "focus on their opponents"

We know Ronda felt stressed out when she was desperately training for Nunes, knowing that she had to try and play catch up to gain skills in an area where Nunes was much better, much like Conor is... but it didn't do her any good to isolate herself like that and build Nunes up to be this monster than was living in her head rent free.

Do we remember how that fight ended?

When fighters become divas and take the easy road they cease to be fighters and it's the beginning of the end.

Apparently the media schedule was too grueling and it was a privilege to hear her speak.

She’s traumatized by the Holly loss and still wants to avoid any questions.

Yes, we know you're trying to say that Conor = Ronda and he's gonna get destroyed by Khabib. I mean, you've literally spent 1000 posts saying so.

With Conor I feel it's more a 'well fuck you' to the UFC

Whereas RR just didn't wanna handle questions about a loss - which isn't the case with Conor.

You wanted to make a comparison between Ronda not doing media, and Conor.

Don't lie to me. The last one to do that ended up REPORTED AS FUCK ...!

High School skank.... she thought Media outlets were her friends, in fact when she lost they came out and wrote stories about her loss... so apparently they became her enemies.... (even though media's job is to report)

Apparently Ronda thought, Media was her friend and will always be her friend since they wrote/praised her...

    Probably a bit of both.

Either way still very different to RR.

I think this is what happened with Nunes too.

I think it's actually a weak mindset though as we saw with Ronda. Building Nunes up to be such a monster in her head that she could only focus on training. Setting up this safety net around her in case she failed that she would not have to own up to the press.

She was a dead woman walking into that cage with that mindset.

She believed every word of her hype and didn't want to acknowledge the holes in her game, plain and simple...

Look at how a guy like Tyson took his loss to Douglas...Faced the boxing world with his eye still swollen shut and told them it was a part of the game and that he would be back.

Ronda hiding behind a pillow like she didn't even realize she was getting into a fight in the first place - it was just ridiculous.

McGregor is doing it out of focus, totally different situations. He did the Diaz rematch press conference after he lost, this has nothing to do with losing the Floyd fight.

Incredibly rich and famous fighters using their leverage to skimp out on media obligations so that they would not have to answer to the press should things go south.

    Sounds eerily similar actually.
